Mary June Acklie, 61 of Fremont passed away Tuesday, February 28,2006 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born January 27, 1945 in Norfolk, Nebraska. Raised in Hoskins, Nebraska and graduated from Winside High School, in Winside Nebraska in 1963. She attended Wayne State College and went to work as a bookkeeper. Moved to Lincoln in 1968 and then to Scottsbluff, where they spent 35 years. Moved to Fremont in 2005. She married Gene Acklie in Norfolk, Nebraska on April 23, 1966. Survived by: Husband Gene 3 daughters: Janelle (husband John) Martens of Des Moines, Iowa; Michelle (husband Jason) Scranton of Carroll, Iowa; Kareen (husband Brian) James of Milltown, New Jersey. Mother: Mary Jochens of Norfolk Brother: Jim (wife Diane) Falk of Grand Island, Nebraska 8 grandchildren Services will be Saturday, March 4 at 10:00AM at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Croom officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00PM to 8:00PM, with family present from 6pm to 8pm, at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel.
