Mary Jane Cleary, age 83, of Arlington, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Fremont Health.

Jane was born July 20, 1933 to William and H. Lena (Wedde) Cleary in Quinnesec, Michigan. She lived with her family in the Quinnesec/Iron Mountain area where she attended and graduated school. Following school, she entered the work force for several years before joining the Army. After her discharge from the Army she worked for the civil service as a clerical professional. She worked most of her career at Ft. Carson, Colorado, before retiring and coming to Nebraska to be closer to her family.

Jane loved attending her granddaughters sporting events, as well as all their other activities. She was their biggest fan! Jane enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and talk radio.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son John Scott Fitzgerald, 6 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by her daughter Kami (Jerrad) Spoon of Arlington, brother Ronald (Sachiko) Cleary of San Antonio, Texas, 3 granddaughters Alexis Nordenson, Jaidyn and Kailye Spoon, many other nieces nephews, family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha 2300 S. 78th Street Omaha, NE 68124 with Pastor Brad Hoeffs officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
