Mary A. Mueller, 80
Died at Fremont Area Medical Center Wednesday night August 27. She was born May 9, 1934 in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin to Ella (Horstman and Carl Niedfeldt and was raised in Madison, Wisconsin graduating from Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1952. Mary attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Olm, Minnesota, graduated from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois in 1971 and received her masters degree from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska in 1984. She taught at Christ Lutheran School in Salem, Wisconsin from 1954 to 1956, at Trinity Lutheran School at Merrill, Wisconsin from 1966 to 1971 and taught First and Fourth Grade at Trinity Lutheran School in Fremont from 1971 to 1997.
Mary Niedfeldt married Glenn Mueller June 16, 1956 at St. James Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Since moving to Fremont in 1971 she has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ladies Quilting Group, Lutheran Womens Missionary League, Miriam Circle, and the Adult Handbell Choir. She was also a volunteer at Low Income Ministry.
She is survived by two daughters; Katherine Gillogley (husband Michael) of Sacramento, California and Debbie Maurer (husband Dan) of Fremont. One son Thomas Mueller (wife Barb) of Elkhorn, one sister Joan Christenson of Germantown, Wisconsin and one brother Robert Niedtfeldt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will Tuesday September 2 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Heuer and Rev. David Coe officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. There have been memorials established to the Trinity School Library and Omaha Concordia High School Scholarship Fund. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
