Melvin E. Cohn, 98 Fremont Died at his home on Monday July 2. He was born at Nebraska City, Nebraska December 1, 1908 and was raised in Nebraska City. He farmed in that area until moving to Colon, Nebraska in 1960 where he farmed until his retirement in 1974. Melvin remained active working for local farmers until 1988 and has continued to be involved with the Fremont Senior Center. Melvin married Elsie E. Abbott January 15, 1929 at Shenendoah, IA. She died April 29, 1992. Survived by: Daughter; Lois Elliot (husband Tom) of Fremont Granddaughter; Andrea Haar (husband Doug) of Castle Rock, Colorado Grandson; Alan Brewer (wife Beth) of Fremont 9 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild He was preceded by his wife, 5 brothers and sisters, and 1 great great grandchild. Services will be Saturday at 9:30 A.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Rev. Leland Foreman officiating. There will be no visitation.
