Melvin H. Hansen, 82 Fremont Died at Merrick Manor Wednesday morning. He was born December 11, 1923 in Waterloo, Nebraska and was raised at Yutan, Nebraska graduating from Yutan High School in 1942. He farmed near Yutan until 1968 when he moved to Fremont and worked for Adams Motors. From 1971 to 1979 he owned a motel in Washington, Kansas and then returned to Fremont where he was Custodian at Clarmar School until his retirement in 1992. He married Ellen K. Stange July 31, 1949 in Fremont. He was a Member of First Lutheran Church. Survived by: Wife Ellen 2 sons: Douglas M. Hansen (wife Cynthia) of Fremont Timothy D. Hansen (wife Elin) of St. Charles, Illinois 1 sister; Louis Seltz of Omaha 2 grandchildren Services will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church. Rev. Karl Rist officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.
