Mervin W. Boschult, 82

Died at Nye Legacy Tuesday morning.

He was born February 26, 1928 in Fremont and attended Fremont Schools graduating from Fremont High School in 1945. He attended Midland College and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Merv served in the U.S. Army in Japan and Korea before returning to Fremont in 1952 to join Boschult Engineering which was founded by his father Wilbur in 1927. He became President of Boschult Engineering in 1967 and has been followed by his son Mark.

Mervin was a member of the First Congregational Church U.C.C., Fremont Lodge #15 A.F. & A.M., the Association of General Contractors, and was Past President of the Fremont Construction Employers Association. He was Past President of the Dodge County Historical Society and served on the Board of Directors of the May Museum. He enjoyed working on the farms, operating heavy equipment, Big Red football, watching his daughter's horse races and grandson's sporting events.

Mervin Boschult married Anne Teigeler in Fremont June 14, 1954.

He is survived by his wife Anne, one daughter Lynn Chleborad (and special friend Gene Jacquot) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one son Mark Boschult (wife Gail) of Elkhorn, Nebraska, and three grandsons, Benjamin, Grant and Daniel.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church UCC. Rev. Terri Akkerman officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. There has been a memorial established to the Dodge County Historical Society and the First Congregational Church. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.

Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard.
