Myron Neal Nissen, age 70, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Myron was born April 19, 1939, in Oakland to Bodolf and Frances Nissen.He resided in Oakland for 35 years, lived in West Point for 2 ½ years, and lived in Fremont the last 30 years.

He attended Rock Grade School in Oakland and graduated from Oakland High School in 1957.

He married Prudence Wickstrom on November 27, 1960, at the First Lutheran Church in Oakland.

Myron was involved in farming from 1960 to 1973.He worked for Vigortone as a sales representative in Fremont.He was employed by Del Peterson and Associates in Fremont.He then helped start Great Plains Auctioneering Company in West Point.He worked for Taylor and Martin Inc. for 28 years and became part owner for his last 6 years with the company.In the mid 1980's he got involved in farming again in the Burt and Cuming County areas.He had a passion for cattle, livestock, going to cattle auctions, and horses.He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Matthew, and Mitchell Nissen of Oakland; James and Olivia Schartz of Omaha; Maverick and Kalley Sukstorf of Cedar Bluffs, NE.

Brothers: Marlin (LaVonne) Nissen, and Loy (Shirley) Nissen, all of Oakland

Sisters: Leona (Harold) Hultquist of Fremont, Ila (Duane) Laaker of Fremont, Inez Diers of West Point, and June (James) Wood of Lincoln.

Visitation: 1:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 1, 2010, with family present after 4:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at First Lutheran Church
Interment: Westside Cemetery in Rural Oakland.
