Died at her home Sunday morning May 8, 2011. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa January 27, 1929 and was raised in Farnhamville, Iowa. Nancy graduated from Woodward, Iowa, High School in 1946 and then attended Wayne State College where she met her future husband of 63 years. She moved to Fremont in 1947.
Nancy Allen married Lee Clopper in Sioux City, Iowa, December 28, 1947.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC and was a charter member of Prairie Piecemakers.
She is survived by her husband, Lee; two daughters, Danna Becerra (husband Johnny) of Omaha and Julie Clopper-Smith (husband Dan) of Lincoln, one son John Clopper (wife Janie) of Sequim, Washington, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday May 12, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church UCC. Rev. Cody Gallatin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and the First Congregational Church. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery.
