Nelda D. Waugh, 85, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday Oct 16, 2018 at Shalimar Gardens.

Nelda was born March 3, 1933, in Palisade, NE, to Clint & Orpha (Christner) Bowersox. She graduated from Palisade High School in 1950, Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha in 1953 and worked as a registered nurse in OB for 3 years before marrying Harlan Waugh of Valley, NE, on January 22, 1956. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Fremont. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., fishing, music, and playing the piano.

She is survived by her husband; children Tim (Lynette) Waugh of Lawrenceville, GA, Barbara Waugh of Dallas, TX, Nancy Waugh (Jack) Gilstrap of Abilene, KS; two grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer) Waugh of Mosely, VA, and Elisha (Jonathan) Lowe of Glen Burnie, MD; eight great-grandchildren, and sister Ardith Miller of Westminster, CO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 22, 2018, at First Baptist Church. Reverends Richard Crooks and Leland Foreman will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Family will be present from 6-8 PM. Memorials can be directed to First Baptist Church, 505 N. C St, Fremont, NE.
