Nona F Kay passed away on February 20, 2008 at her home from complications associated with Multiple SystemAtrophy.

She was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Mike and Bee Nielsen on July 1, 1940. She graduated from Blair High School in 1957 and attended Dana College for two years. She married Gene Kay on August 2, 1959 in the Blair Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Arlington Community Church where she taught Sunday school, helped organize Bible school and served on various church committees. She was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fremont where she had been a member of the Alter Guild, a facilitator for Rainbows and taught Bible school. She had been active in Washington County 4-H and had been leader of the Arlington Do-Bees 4-H club.

Preceded in death by her parents Mike and Bee Nielsen.

Survivors include: her husband: two daughters, Cindy Mock (and husband Neal) of Albion, Nebraska, Lori Holstein (and husband Eric) of Omaha, Nebraska; a son Alan Kay (and wife Debbie) of Houston, Texas; a sister Ann Pierson (and husband Ron) of Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandsons, Kyle and Brian Mock of Albion, Joshua and Jonah Holstein of Omaha and Grant and Jack Kay of Houston.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church (815 N. Broad St., Fremont)

Visitation:Friday February 22, 2008 from 3-8 PM, family present from 6-8 PM.
Memorial Service: 11 A.M. Saturday February 23, 2008 at First United Methodist Church
Private burial at Arlington Cemetery.
