Patty Miserez, 51 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, March 10, at Methodist hospital in Omaha.

Patricia "Patty" Jo Einerwold was born July 10, 1960, in Madison, South Dakota, to Sharon (Schlim) and Ron Einerwold.She grew up in South Dakota and Colorado before moving to Wisner with her family in 1971.She graduated from Wisner-Pilger High School in 1978.

On July 15, 1978, she married Mark Miserez and lived in West Point until their divorce.She then moved to Fremont where she lived until her death.Patty worked for Tek Industries for 11 years until she became ill.

Her life revolved around her family.Patty's three children were her greatest accomplishment and she cherished being a grandma to her four grandchildren.
Patty enjoyed gardening, cooking and the warmth of a bright sunny day.Spring was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed anything that involved her grandchildren; bowls of ice cream with Emma, watching movies with Jacob, reading to Aiden, her lil' buddy, and snuggling with baby Olivia.She also enjoyed getting together with her sisters for a day of baking or just a good meal with lots of laughs and a promise of seeing each other soon.They shared recipes and talked about who was going to be eliminated on "Dancing with the Stars" or who would beat Mori Moto on "Iron Chef".Her potato salad will never be duplicated and she always served her guests with a smile and a good laugh.

Patty also valued her friendships and all a good friend has to offer.

After her diagnosis, she became a fighter.She always had a "Plan B" and was optimistic about the future.Patty was strong as a rock throughout the last 6 months and her strength and courage is admirable.

Patty joins in heaven her mother, Sharon Hastings; her grandparents; a brother Ron; a nephew, Matt Paulson; and her good friends Rox and Vicki.

Grateful for sharing her life is her father Ron (Sharon) Einerwold, of Elkhorn, IA; her step-father Kenny (Donna) Dohren of Wisner, NE; a daughter, Katie (Oliver) Glass of Fremont; sons Brian Miserez of Fremont; and Samuel Miserez of West Point; four grandchildren, Emma, Jacob, Aiden and Olivia; sisters, Debbie (Dale) Paulson of Wayne; Julie (Denis) Oswald of Pilger; and Stephanie (Mike) Westphalen of Green Isle, MN; and Sherry (Donnie) Armstrong, of Watertown, SD; brothers, Mark and Bob Einerwold of Del Rapids, SD; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

A memorial service for Patty will be held on Thursday, March 15th at 2:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel.Patty will be buried at a private family committal in Pilger at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to Sam's education fund.
