Peggy L. Allgood, age 64, of Fremont passed away Tuesday September 2, 2014 at A. J. Merrick Manor.
Peggy was born August 5, 1950 to Glenn Lyman and Mary (Moore) Birkmann in Lincoln. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast high school in 1968. After high school she married Jan Jasinski. Peggy and Jan moved to Fremont in 1972 where they raised three children Jay, Jon, and Jen. They later divorced. Peggy had a long time career at K-mart, later worked at Lincoln Federal and the Travelure. She retired from Pentagon Federal Credit Union after 15 years. On September 21, 1991 she married the love of her life Robert Allgood. They spent 22 years of their life together until losing Bob in July 2013.
Peggy was a long time member of Salem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with Bob, their children, and grandchildren. She had a strong love for their beloved dog Bailey. She also enjoyed camping, walking, and being with family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, and grandparents.
She is survived by her parents Glenn (Vera) Lyman of Lincoln, mother Mary Birkmann of Lincoln. Sons Jay (Tracy) Jasinski of LaVista, Jonathan (Tara) Jasinski of Lincoln, daughter Jennifer (Mike) Vogt of Fremont, and son Doug (Angie) Allgood of Fremont. Brother David (Beverly) Lyman of Omaha, sisters Christine (partner Sharon) Lyman of Lincoln, Linda (Mark) Svoboda of Loveland, CO. Grandchildren Cole Miller, Brandon Jasinski, Samantha Allgood, Jared Jasinski, Taryn Jasinski, Harlie Allgood, and Zackery Vogt. Many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
Visitation will be Sunday September 7, 2014 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 4:00-8:00pm with family present from 6:00-8:00.
Memorial Service will be Monday September 8, 2014 at 10:00A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church with Reverend Michael Thomas officiating.
Inurnment will be at Memorial Cemetery.
