Randolph "Randy" D. Ottoboni, 58, Fremont died at his home on Sunday, July 8th.
Randy was born December 5, 1953 in Minden, Nebraska. His family moved to Fremont and he graduated from Fremont High School in 1972.
Shortly after that he joined the Army National Guard, and then the Regular Army and served his country for over 21 years. Most of his military career was spent in the States, but he also spent 4 years in Germany, which he said was the best duty ever. He retired with the rank of Sargent -E-5. He was a historian focusing mainly on World War II. He had several jobs after retirement, including as a security guard for Hormel's.
Randy's mother passed away in 2005, leaving a void in his life, after taking care of her for many years. He was a man who was willing to help others in need and had hidden talents that many did not know about. Everyone that knew Randy considered him the "Pickle King". He would share his winnings with others, especially giving out candy.
Survivors are 1 Aunt - Eunice Clark of Dallas, Texas, 1 Cousin - Fred Clark of Plano, Texas.
A celebration of Randy's life will be Friday, July 13th at 10:00A.M., at Dugan Funeral Chapel.
There is no visitation.
A Memorial as been set up to the Keene Memorial Library in Fremont.
