Robert "Bob" Dionne, age 70, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Fremont Health Center.

Bob died Christmas morning at home following another likely seizure.He was born and raised in Connecticut.He joined the Marines when he was 17 and served in Vietnam and Japan.He was a self-taught horticulturist and willingly shared his knowledge with all.He worked at Earl May, Mulhall Nursery, and Siffring Landscaping.He also started and ran his own commercial greenhouse operation primarily growing annual flowers.

He met his life-long partner and spouse, Jim Pomrenke, when in Japan.They shared life for 46 years.

A memorial service is scheduled at Dugan Funeral Chapel for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 28, 2017.Pastor Scott Jensen will be officiating.

A private inurnment will take place at the Omaha National Cemetery.
