Robert Goertz, age 70, passed away at Nye Legacy of pneumonia Friday, March 11, 2011.
Robert was born November 6, 1940in Canton, Illinois to Elmer and Helen Goertz. Bob's first job was a newspaper delivery boy at the age of 9 in Pamona, California. It was here that he met and married Jacqueline on June 16, 1962. He continued to work for the newspaper for many years, eventually getting promoted to circulation manager at the Fremont Tribune. Bob left the newspaper in 1984 when he opened Bob's Liquor Cabinet in Fremont. He owned and operated the store with Jackie for 27 years.
Bob loved spending time with Jackie, his children and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed softball, bowling, camping, playing cards, and Nebraska football.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 15, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel
Rosary/Wake will begin Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel
Funeral Services are 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Father Ron Battiato is officiating the services.
Interment: Ridge Cemetery
Memorials may be made to the Dodge County Humane Society.
