Rodney "Rod" L. Wilson, age 62, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at his residence in Omaha.

Rod was born in Fremont on November 25, 1953, to James and Marilyn Wilson.He graduated from Fremont High School in 1972.He attended Midland Lutheran College and went to work at Vigortone.He worked at Vigortone as a feed mill operator for 38 years until his retirement in 2013.

Rod L. Wilson married Jolene G. Pinkley in Fremont on October 13, 1979.They remained married until 2002.

Rod later reunited with Mary M. McFarlin.

He volunteered at the YMCA for many years and coached many of the teams that played in the YMCA leagues.Rod loved sports and he loved spending as much time as possible helping, supporting, and coaching his children in their sports and activities.He especially like anything with the University of Nebraska athletics, particularly football and volleyball.

Father James, stepfather Ron Skalberg, grandparents James (Agnes) Paden, and Uncle Duane Paden.

Sons: Ryan (Sarah) Wilson of Wilton, IA; Reid (Chrissy) Wilson of Fremont
Daughter Megan (Pat) Morris of Council Bluffs, IA

Grandchildren: Katelyn and Rohan Wilson; Alexa, Kyle, and Luke Morris; Layla, Alivia, and Grayson Wilson.
