Roger Dale Schrader, 69 of Fremont, NE, died April 22, 2015, at Fremont Health Medical Center.


He was born in Villisca, Iowa to Cecil and Marjorie Schrader on Oct. 30th 1945. He attended country schools in Southwest Iowa.He later attended high school in New Market, IA before graduating from Shenandoah, IA 1964. After high school, Roger attended Iowa Western Community College for two years.Roger spent 4 years in the United States Air Force in radio communications while stationed in the Philippines, Thailand, and finally San Antonio, TX.Roger spent most of his life in retail management and traveled a six state area in sales for several companies. He retired from full time employment in 2009, but he couldn't stop working altogether.He loved being on the road meeting new people, and his last job working at Sid Dillon transporting cars for dealer trades reflected that.


On January 10, 1981, Roger was united in marriage to Sharon Hein Andersen and soon after adopted her two daughters, Naomi and Michele.He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and Fremont Eagles Club Aerie 200.


Survivors include his wife of 34 years Sharon, two daughters Naomi Gutz, and Michele Wessels (Scott);7 precious grandchildren: Victoria Reed Bohn (Ethan), Dominic Reed, Zoe Gutz, Calvin Wessels, Christian Rise, Bailey Rise, and Cameron Wessels; plus 1 great grand-daughter, Elaina Rise.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
