Fremont

Died Friday October 19 at Parsons House in Omaha. He was born March 21, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska and was raised there until he was 12 when he moved to Plant City, Florida and then to Fremont in 1963, graduating from Fremont High School in 1964. Ron was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1969. He worked for the City of Milwaukee, then for Lueder Construction in Missouri until 1972 when he returned to Fremont as an engineer for Stormor. After his retirement from Stormor he ran Investment Management Group and served on the Board of Directors of First State Bank.

Ron was a member of the Fremont Rotary Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Past President of the Fremont Golf Club, a member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by two sisters, Teri Merriman of Fremont and Patty Mott (husband Mick) of Omaha and one brother, Rick Rohrs (wife Cyndi) of Lincoln. Nieces and Nephew Jared Rohrs (wife Julie) and Courtney and Meghan Merriman. Also two great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Glennie Rohrs, and a brother in law, Jim Merriman.

Memorial Services will be Saturday October 27 at 10:00 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. John Ashley officiating. There has been a memorial established to the Dodge County Humane Society. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
