Ruby McMillen age 96 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Arbor Manor.
Ruby Grabe was born September 25, 1911 in Columbus, Nebraska. She moved to Fremont in 1928 and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1929. She later attended Midland Lutheran College.
She worked in her father's architectural office for many years, she also worked at the Mead Ordinance Plant, Conoco Oil Company regional office in Lincoln, Nebraska and for Dodge County for 22 years. She was a clerk in the County Clerk's office then a Deputy County Clerk and retired after serving as County Clerk.
She married Lawrence "Mac" McMillen on January 1, 1941, in Fremont. He died on June 5, 1957.
Survivors are her niece Mrs. Janet Blake of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and nephew Don Neve of San Diego, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, brother George Grabe, Jr., and her sister Mrs. Pearl Neve.
A memorial will be established for the First United Methodist Church.
