Sandra Ayers-Hendren, age 57 of Fremont, passed away Monday, April 19th, at her home.
Sandra was born April 9, 1953 to Lyle and Charity Hendren in Waverly, IA. She grew up in Janesville, IA and attended Janesville High School. She also lived in Waterloo, IA and Shell Rock, IA before moving to Fremont in 1994. She spent most of her life as a homemaker.
Survivors include her life partner, Charlie Maupin; father, Lyle (Judy) Hendren of Waterloo, IA; mother, Charity Gunderson of Waterloo, IA; son, Kenneth (the late Brenda) Barker of Cedar Rapids, IA; daughter, Kelli (Servando) Romero of Fremont; brothers, Steve (Bobbye) Hendren of Fremont and Greg (Linda) Hendren of Cedar Falls, IA; sisters Sue (Rick Herold) Hendren of Cedar Rapids, IA and Sheri Henning of Fremont;, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her daughter-in-law Brenda Barker.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Dugan Funeral Chapel with a public gathering one hour prior to the service. Memorials are asked to be directed to the family.
