Sandra L. Schmitz age 73, of Fremont passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her home.


Sandra was born December 13, 1940 to Earl and Verna Price. Sandra grew up in Broken Bow and graduated valedictorian of her class in 1959. After high school she attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln. After school she moved to Merna and began raising her children on the farm. She divorced in 1973 and spent a few more years in Broken Bow before moving to Omaha. While in Omaha she worked for Mangelsen's. She lived in many different places before returning to Fremont.


Sandra loved reading, and was a talented artist. She enjoyed cooking and doing crosswords. She was very active with the Fremont Art Association and enjoyed spending some of her time there. She belonged to Fremont Art Association, and the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W..


She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lizbeth and brother David Price.


She is survived by daughter Teresa Wells of Lincoln, Sons Mitch and wife Sylvia Schmitz of Fremont, Bradley Schmitz of Broken Bow, Blaine Schmitz of Jasper, Georgia,Tedd and wife Christina Schmitz of Omaha, brother Earl and wife Mary Price of Bellevue, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held Saturday December 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating. A private burial will be held.
