KUBIK-Sharon R., age 72 years, of Fremont, peacefully passed away Friday, August 29, 2008 at Fremont Area Medical Center. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Dwayne Kubik, children, Donald (Joann) Kubik of Lincoln, NE; Barbara (Dan) Bock of Schuyler, NE; Margaret (Monte) Howk of Rathdrum, ID; Robert (Joy) Kubik of Burke, VA; Mike Kubik and his son Michael of Tacoma, WA; 13 grand children and 9 great-grand children. Other loved ones include sisters, Marilynne (Fred) Bergman of Lincoln, NE; Sandra (Bernie) Masek of Douglas, NE; and brother; Bill (Karlene) Brown of Fredonia, NY; many nieces and nephews and countless numbers of very close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis T. and Howard H. Brown, brothers, Terry Brown and Larry Brown.
Sharon, a dedicated wife and mother, took great pride and pleasure spending time with her grand and great-grand children. During her early career she thrived as a bookkeeper at the Lincoln Journal-Star and later became vice-president of Kubik's Inc. To complete her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, traveling, bingo and tending to her flower gardens. Sharon was also an accomplished artisan who took great satisfaction in making silk flower arrangements for multiple friends and family weddings and demonstrating her seamstress talents by making quilts and wedding dresses.
A celebration of a life filled with love is planned with a Memorial Service to be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M., September 4th at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont, NE.
Inurnment will take place at the Wahoo Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to the American Red Cross.
