Shirley B. Eaton, age 83, of Fremont passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Dunklau Gardens.


Shirley was born in Fremont on October 7, 1931 toCharles and Erma (Hansen) Bell. She spent most of her life in Fremont with stops in Omaha and Hooper, settling in Fremont in 1959. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1949. While in school she was active in vocal music, cheerleading and was named homecoming queen in 1948. She was married in 1953 to William Eaton and had 4 children, Nancy, William, Tracy and Bryan.


She spent the majority of her life being a housewife and raising the children but, also enjoyed bridge, reading, bowling and golf, where she played in various leagues.


She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Charlene (Sally) Rohlff (Del).


She is survived by her husband William, children Nancy Whiteaker, William (Mary) Eaton, Tracy (Vernon) Fisher and Bryan Eaton, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson still in the oven.

A private burial will take place Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Memorial Cemetery followed by a memorial service at First Lutheran Church at 2:00P.M with pastor Michael Thomas officiating.
