Stanley H. Callaway, 85, of Fremont passed away March 18, 2011 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. He was born June 5, 1925 to John and Nesenna Callaway in Fremont. He married Patsy Hageman March 18, 1951.
He served in the Army during World War II, was a member of the Fremont Eagles and the VFW. He was a milkman for 35 years upon retirement. He enjoyed watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals and listening to polka on Sundays.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy; daughters Lynell (James) Millie of Cedar Bluffs and Marilyn (Squire) Bassett of Fremont; son Sterling Callaway of Fremont; sisters Colleen Ananig of Fremont, Peggy Ott of South Sioux City, Vivian Housch of Oklahoma; brother Jack Callaway of Omaha; sisters-in-law Shirley Shanahan of Modesto, CA, Mel Hageman of San Jose, CA, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Stan W. Callaway.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
