Sylvia E. Clark, age 88, of Fremont, NE passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at Fremont Health Medical Center.
Sylvia was born on December 6, 1926, one of eleven children born to Adolph and Rose Cizek in Withee, Wisconsin.She graduated from Withee High School in 1944, where she was Prom Queen. Sylvia subsequently attended Concordia College in River Forest, IL, and moved to Omaha, NE where she taught at the Cross Lutheran Church Primary School.
Sylvia married Gerhard Rex in 1949 and they had two children, Gary and LuAnn.Sylvia continued her education and in 1969 obtained a B.S. in education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.She served as a teacher with Omaha Public Schools from 1969 to 1982.
Gerhard, employed with Northern Natural Gas Company, died in 1979.Sylvia married Willard Clark of Omaha, employed by the Nebraska State Patrol, in 1982.Willard died in 1994.
Sylvia enjoyed and excelled at cooking, golfing, playing bridge, crossword puzzles, and making quilts.She also loved to travel, be with friends and family, and volunteer for service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, with the exception of Norman Cizek of Branson, Missouri.Sylvia is survived by her children Gary Rex of Delray Beach, Florida and LuAnn Rex of Aurora, Colorado, and by many dozens of nieces and nephews throughout Nebraska and the United States.

Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2015 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 4:00-8:00P.M. with family present from 6:00-8:00P.M.Funeral service will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Glenn Meyer officiating.
Burial will take place at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska, Monday, August 3, 2015 at 1:00P.M.
