Tamie Jo Schmeckpeper, age 49, of North Bend, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home.

Tamie was born January 6, 1967 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Thomas and Alice (Jenkins) Newman. She was raised in Torrington, Wyoming graduating from Mitchell High School in 1985. She lived in various places in northwest Nebraska before moving to North Bend. Tamie was employed with Target for 18 years serving as a manager, before she started working for US Cellular and Selectel Wireless as a Regional Manager.

Tamie enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling with her family and camping. She was a loving mother and wife and was very proud of her children. She loved attending her children's activities and spending time with her family. Music and watching movies was also something she enjoyed with her children.

She is preceded in death by her father Thomas R. Newman and father in law Larry G. Schmeckpeper.

She is survived by her husband Craig, daughters Amanda Franklin, Ashley Franklin, Sydney Franklin, sons Gary Franklin, Trey Nelson, Colton Robins, mother Alice Pragnell, father Doug Pragnell, brothers Tom Newman, Tracy Pragnell and sister Jennifer Pragnell, as well as many other family and friends.

Family will be receiving friends from 4-6P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2016 with the funeral service beginning at 6:30P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.
