Thomas "Tom" R. Riggs, age 62, of North Bend, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at his home.

Tom was born September 12, 1955, to William and Margaret Riggs in Fremont. Tom attended and graduated from Fremont high school. Following high school he went into the work force. He married Laurie Hraban on July 22, 1994, in Fremont. To this union were two children. Tom was employed with Platte Chemical for many years before retiring. Tom enjoyed fishing and was a avid Nebraska football fan. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Marg, sister Wanda Dodge, brothers Gary and John Riggs, brother in laws Richard Mangum and Jon Kinkenon and sister in law Kathie Riggs.

He is survived by his wife Laurie, children Tyler and Melissa, sisters Debbie Kinkenon of Fremont, Joyce Mangum of Fremont, brother William 'Chip" Riggs of Fremont, Richard "RJ" (JoAnne) Riggs of Omaha, James "Jim" Riggs of Columbus, mother and father in law Francis and Kathy Fischer of North Bend, as well as many other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Disabled Veterans Building located at 137 N "D" Street Fremont, at 5PM.
