Tom R. Peterson, 69 Fremont Died at his home Saturday, Decemeber 27. He was born in Fremont March 2, 1939 and attended Fremont Schools graduating from Fremont High School in 1957. He attended the University of Wyoming and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln before entering the U.S. Army in 1961. He lived in Lincoln for a year before returning to Fremont in 1964 and worked in City Planning both in Lincoln and Fremont before entering the insurance business. Tom was in the Casualty and Property Insurance industry until his retirement in 2007. Tom married Sandra Isgrig January 26, 1963 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a member of the Fremont City Planning Commission for 28 years, a past member of the Vestry and past Senior Warden of St. James Episcopal Church, a member of the Fremont Family Planning Board of Directors, served on the Board of the Fremont Rod and Gun Club, and was Treasurer and Board Member of the Snake Falls Sportsmans Club. Survived by: Wife-Sandra 1 daughter-Anne Robb (husband Mike) of Duluth, Minnesota 1 son-Matthew Peterson (wife Shana) of Beaumont, Texas 1 sister-Diane Thompson of Austin, Texas 4 grandchildren Memorial services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Episcopal Church. Rev. Ron Wiley officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials have been established to the Fremont Area Community Foundation and the Nature Conservancy.
